The eight-month search for the first Pinoy Idol ended last Sunday when Biliran lass Gretchen Espina was proclaimed winner. Espina bested Jay Ann Bautista and Ram Chaves in the final gala performance held last Saturday at the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia. She received a total of 5.7 million pesos from the singing competition.
