American Idol: Mariah Carey Week Performances

It was certainly a treat for Idol fans worldwide as the remaining seven American Idol finalists competed in their own versions of hit songs first popularized by Mariah Carey.

Overall, it was David Cook's performance of the song Always Be My Baby that turned out to be a crowd favorite. On the other hand it was impossible not to compare Syesha Mercado, who was predicted to be in her niche, with the pop diva herself. Mercado did a cover of the song Vanishing.
