The Rubik's Cube

Lately there has been a revival of interest in this small, mind-blowing toy. Kids everywhere are flexing their brains to solve the puzzle that is the Rubik's Cube.

Unknown to many, there are actually four types: the Rubik's Revenge (a 4x4 cube), the Rubik's Cube (3x3), the Professor's Cube (5x5) and the Pocket or Mini Cube (2x2). The most popular is the 3x3 variation.

Many general solutions to the Rubik's Cube puzzle have been discovered independently over the years. Wikibooks Contains a wealth of information about its solution.
