After weeks of competition, only three Idol hopefuls are left to battle it out and become the first Pinoy Idol.
Ram Chaves, Jay Ann Bautista and Gretchen Espina bested Kid Camaya and Daryl Celis in the final gala performance night Saturday night. Kid's rendition of Wham's Careless Whisper and Daryl's cover of Martin Nievera's The Promise did not earn them a post in the top 3, although they received good comments from Pinoy Idol's resident judges.
The three contestants will be singing three songs each during the finals, a personal choice, a favorite mentor's choice, and a judge's choice.
The finalé will be held at the SMX Convention Center. No less than Regine Velasquez, Basil Valdez, Cueshe, Freestyle, Itchyworms, South Border, Hajji Alejandro, Vernie Varga, Luke Mijares, Duncan Ramos, Jett Pangan, Pupil, Callalily, and the UP Chorus Choir will be performing with the top 3 on the two-day finalé this Saturday August 16, and Sunday August 17.
